A Run With the Wind Fancomic

Coming 2022

STORY

"Those days alone filled me with the unbearable fact of being, until I was as heavy and alive as summer."

Haiji Kiyose has just moved in with his boyfriend, but every day, he wakes up alone. Kakeru is busy training not for races, like he has been for so much of the time Haiji has known him, but a new job as a physical therapist.

As Haiji watches Kakeru moves past one life they shared—a life that Haiji thought he had moved past, too—Haiji must face the question: What if life is really about learning to stand still?

Characters

Haiji Kiyose

31. Sportswriter, house husband, and insufferable lush. Wants the best for Kakeru. Wants Kakeru to be the best. Nothing like his father. Not one bit, not one bit at all.

Kakeru Kurahara

28. Physical therapy intern, former pro runner. Ready to start a new chapter in life. Ready for Haiji to, as well. Still not great with words. Still trying, bit by bit and day by day.

Akihiko "Nico-Chan" Hirata

33. Freelance developer, part-time bartender. Drinking partner and mostly sympathetic ear to one Haiji Kiyose. Not entirely too old for this shit.

Akane "Prince" Kashiwazaki

29. Editor for a weekly manga publication. Best friend of Kakeru. Lifelong Haiji skeptic. Entirely too old for any shit, at any time, in any situation.

Hanako "Hana" Katsuka

27. Public servant. Kakeru's occasional lunch buddy. Entirely too good for this world. Must be protected at all costs.
